The lessons are a little different from traditional academy based art class, these will be classes catered for the modern torontonian student!
Our lessons will encourage critical thinking, exploring self identity, and community through the use of art and play. We will still be working on portfolio worthy pieces where students will learn the fundamental art principles and techniques however we will be applying these to expand our critical learning and our relationship with society. Students will often be exploring digital art and our relationship with the Internet (emphasis on how to be safe!), how we can be mindful and sustainable in our arts, as well as how art can fuel the formation of our identity!

About the Teacher (Me!)
Hello! My name is Serin, I am a graduate from Sheridan College's esteemed Honors Animation Bachelor's program and have been teaching children's art classes since 2021. My personal teaching approach is one of warmth and understanding as the primary way I interact with my students. I want my students to feel comfortable to explore their inner world and take artistic risks to expand their learning. I predominantly work with neurodivergent kids or students who often feel a little different from the rest! I am a very big advocate for LGBTQIA+ rights and I embrace it as part of the identity and experience of people all over the world and hope to foster my student's wonder and creativity to help them better understand themselves and the world around them. It tough being a kid! But through our classes together I hope to give a little guidance while also letting them have fun!
Courses
Each class is 2 hours, digital classes require the student to have their own materials as devices will not be provided (ipad, tablets, drawing pad, etc)
Digital Art PRIVATE (in-person) - $60 per class
Digital Art GRP (in-person) - $45 per class
Digital Art GRP (online) - 40$ per class
Traditional Art GRP (in-person) - $50 per class
Animation Portfolio Prep - $150 Per week (3x classes per week + Life drawing lessons)
